Range / Site Description: The following is known to have been dumped at sea at the site which is at depths greater than 1,500 feet. Lewisite Ton Container - Qty 1 - total NCAW disposed 1ton. Mustard 155 mm Projectile - Qty 341 - total NCAW disposed is 2 tons. Mustard 105 mm Projectile - QTY 378 -total NCAW disposed is 1ton. Mustard 4.2 inch Mortar Shell - Qty - 56,144 - total NCAW disposed 182 tons. Mustard Total Combined = 185 tons. Arsenic Trichloride 55 Gallon Drum - Qty 1,154 - total NCAW disposed 505 tons. Cyanide 55 Gallon Drum - Qty 20 - total NCAW disposed 3 tons. Other items disposed at the dump site include: WP, Smoke, and Adamsite filled conventional munitions and RAD waste. Associated Munitions: CWM munitions, CWA, and conventional munitions. Activities Completed: Archive search of records. DoD has only released minimal data on the site in the Annual Reports to Congress. Issues: Other Information: No cleanup or assessment planned. |
