Environmental Program Manager Underwater UXO

The Defence Construction Canada (DCC), Esquimalt, British Columbia office is currently looking to fill the permanent position of Environmental Program Manager, Underwater UXO. The person selected for the position will be responsible to provide project management support and project delivery on Underwater UXO projects of medium to difficult level complexity, with primary focus in Canada's West Coast Area. The Underwater UXO projects are of a varying nature and many of the projects have not been done before within DCC or DND. Further objectives include the provision of management support services on technical tasks related to Underwater UXO and UXO project documents, more complex tasks include supporting DCC's commitment to the DND UXO and Legacy Sites Program through the Environmental Services division.

Personnel qualifications include the following:

• Canadian Forces EOD HB certificate with subsurface EOD qualification or equivalent is mandatory.
• College diploma in Project Management or equivalent training and experience is desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of applied maritime UXO/EOD experience is required
• Knowledge in UXO industry is an asset.
• Training in legal issues concerning human risk and exposure to UXO would be an asset.
