Program Manager and Project Managers/Engineers
USA Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for a major business area or program overseeing one or more project managers executing the program task orders. This individual will also be responsible for overall profitability, budgeting, scheduling and customer relations of the business area or program, and handling one or more projects through completion, or until sufficient project managers are assigned. Qualified candidates will have a B.S. Degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, environmental sciences or related degree. Must have 7-10 years of project management and at least 3 years of program management experience in environmental, civil engineering and/or military munitions projects, including studies, characterizations, design and removals.
USA Environmental, Inc. is also seeking several mid-level Project Managers/Engineers who will be responsible for planning, designing and managing environmental characterization and remediation projects. Must be capable of managing several concurrent projects that will be at various stages, including planning, design, remediation and close out. Qualified candidates will have a B.S. Degree from an accredited college or university in environmental sciences, civil or chemical engineering, related degree and/or equivalent on-the-job experience. Must have 3-5 years project management experience in environmental, civil engineering and/or military munitions projects, including studies, characterizations, design and remediation.
The Program Manager and Project Managers/Engineers require a good understanding of doing business with government agencies and their procurement process and will be responsible for creating various DOD reports and documentation, such as work plans and final report writing. Both will be involved in proposal preparation to include technical approaches, logistics and pricing and will work closely with Human Resources regarding project staffing and employee relations issues.
These positions require a clear understanding of environmental laws and regulatory processes, including CERCLA, RCRA, NCP, Clean Air & Water, Endangered Species, etc. Experience involving munitions and explosives of concern (MEC), especially unexploded ordnance (UXO), military munitions, military ranges, range control, scrap metal disposal and/or recycling and weapon systems is preferred. Project experience directly with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or U.S. Navy is helpful. Solid track record in technical report writing with proposal writing experience a plus. Must have strong scheduling, cost tracking abilities, logistics skills and experience in budget preparation to include medium/advanced Excel skills and knowledge of project management software, i.e. Microsoft Project or Primavera. The position involves travel and at times temporary placement at offsite projects. Candidates absolutely must have solid interpersonal skills allowing cohesive team work with co-workers and the customer.
