Navy EOD Technician Killed in Iraq

Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler J. Trahan, 22, of East Freetown, Massachusetts died along with two Marines while conducting combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq. Tyler was assigned to the Navy EOD Mobile Unit 12 based out of Norfolk, Virginia but was on a temporary deployment with a Navy SEAL team when he died. The Navy has not released any details surrounding the deaths. Tyler is the 12th Navy EOD technician killed in Iraq combat operations.
