UXO Technicians Level II Wanted

UXO Technician Level II - 4 positions Base location: Denver, CO

Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Perform UXO duties including Battle Area Clearance (BAC) operations to search for, locate, identify, and dispose of conventional to include Explosive Remnants of War.
  • Perform site assessment of areas suspected of containing MEC.
  • Perform destruction of Stockpiled Munitions, Small Arms and Light Weapons
  • Insure that geophysical standard operating procedures, work plans and government guidance are adhered to on projects.
  • Facilitate demilitarization and removal of UXO

  • Properly utilize and care for NWT tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Detect, identify, assess condition, and mark location of unexploded and practice ordnance
  • Perform operator maintenance on locating instruments and equipment
  • Perform excavation procedures on buried UXO by manual and mechanical means
  • Utilize the on-site safe holding area and/or disposal site for UXO
  • Perform administrative or logistical duties as may be assigned by the SUXOS or Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of UXO Technician 1 Course in accordance with US Army Corps of Engineers instructions in TP18 and be qualified in accordance with the United Nations International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) 09.30, must have qualifying time and experience.
  • Must be able to pass a US Government Background Check.
  • Must be available to work outside the normal schedule when dictated by needs of the company
  • Ability to work in harsh working conditions, outdoors, in extreme temperatures depending on the time of year the contract is awarded
  • Ability to work at a remote location for up to six months continuous
  • Basic user level of computer systems related to geophysics and Microsoft office software (word and excel), databases, and documentation control systems
  • Must be capable of moving through rough terrain for extended periods of time (8 plus hours per day)
