Victoria, Australia a local resident walking his dog in a park came across a munition item. Not having a cell phone handy and concerned that children may find the munition, the man decided to carry the item himself to the police station.

The police called the bomb squad and evacuated the building. The bomb squad identified the munition as a practice Korean War era artillery shell. The round reportedly contained a live spotting charge. The bomb squad safety disposed of the shell without incident. The resident was kindly advised not to handle suspect munition items in the future.
