Soloman Islands EOD Respond to Multiple UXO Calls

Munda, Soloman Islands The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Honiara responded to reports of a UXO at Munda Airport in the Western Province. The munition was found close to a runaway by a contractor working on the fence line at the airport. The responding bomb disposal unit was to safely relocate the item for off-site disposal.

While authorities were responding, two more unidentified UXO items were reported at Kindu, Munda. The bomb disposal unit responded and conducted an in-place disposal as the items were deemed unsafe to move.
