Sr. UXO Supervisor - Pinecastle Range - Ocala, Florida - Full-Time Position

Ordnance Holdings, Inc. (OHI), a Tampa, Florida based unexploded ordnance (UXO), engineering and environmental services company, is looking for a well-qualified Sr. UXO Supervisor (SUXOS) to fill a full-time position at Pinecastle Range in Ocala, Florida.

Minimum Education Level

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) School (Eglin AFB, FL or Indian Head, MD).

Minimum Experience Requirement

• Ten (10) years' prior military EOD and/or commercial UXO experience in range clearance operations; explosive ordnance recognition; and recovering, inspecting, handling, and disposing of UXO.
• Working knowledge of the MPPEH categorization, inspection, verification, and certification process.
• Meet all DDESB TP-18 requirements for a SUXOS.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Bachelor's degree considered a plus.

Description of General Duties

• Oversee site UXO operations and maintenance personnel including subcontractors.
• Engage with site program functional representatives to coordinate and deconflict operations and systems and site maintenance including the start-up, control, and shutdown of equipment and operations to meet economic and environmental standards.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, construction, and operation of all assigned systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Assist in the development of strategy and operational level site facilities planning; production workload planning; resource and budget allocations; and other managerial requirements.
• Prepare, complete, file, and maintain UXO and explosives related administrative reports and certification records.
• Record and document the location of UXO and the location of areas cleared using a GPS.
• Complete and maintain MPPEH chain of custody and certification records as permanent records.
• Ensure personnel performing UXO and explosives related tasks are qualified and certified in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Supervise Range Holding Area (RHA) operations, MPPEH scrap management, and the certification process for MDAS.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and conduct UXO and explosive operations (e.g., locating and destroying UXO; performing range clearance operations).
• Ensure range and explosive operations comply with Federal, DOD, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and contract requirements.

Other Requirements Including Certifications/Trainings

• Must obtain and maintain Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with 49CFR 391.41 (physical qualifications for drives).
• Must possess a valid state Driver's License.
• Must obtain and maintain ATF Explosive Possessor status.
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a state blaster's permit.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of QC/QA practices associated with MEC-related activities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Govt Common Access Card (CAC).

Security Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance Required (Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within 120 days of start date and maintain it as a condition of employement).

Employment as a SUXOS is contingent on the ability to obtain and maintain the following, as applicable, to the position: a security clearance (Secret); BATF employee explosive possessor (Ref ATF P 5400.7, Federal Explosives Laws and Regulations); compliance with the requirements of the Pinecastle Range Conventional Ammunition and Explosives Handling Qualification and Certification (QUAL/CERT) Program (Ref OPNAVINST 8023.24C); and meeting E-Verify eligibility requirements.
