WWII Era Bomb At Construction Site

Kuantan, Malaysia a 250kg WWII era unexploded aerial bomb was discovered buried at a housing project site in Rancangan Tanah Pemuda (RTP) Bukit Goh by a contractor.

The contractor alerted authorities, and after a risk assessment by the Pahang and Kuantan police, the bomb was safely detonated the following day using a 'low-order' technique to minimize impact on nearby residential areas. Acting district police chief Superintendent Mohd Adli Mat Daud urged the public not to handle suspicious objects and to report them to the nearest police station. This marks the second such incident in the week, following the discovery and safe detonation of a mortar bomb near the Menora Tunnel in Perak on the same day.
