Blasting Cap Discovered in Donated Bag Prompts Evacuation

Clarksville, Tennessee A local Goodwill store was evacuated after employees discovered a suspected explosive device hidden inside a donated bag.

First responders immediately cleared the building while the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was dispatched to assess the threat. The bomb squad examined the item and identified it as a live military-grade blasting cap. Authorities thoroughly checked the area and confirmed that no other explosive materials were present in the donations.

U.S. Army EOD technicians from nearby Fort Campbell took possession of the blasting cap, safely removing and disposing of the initiating device without further incident.
