EOD Clears Suspected UXO from Beach

Drigg, United Kingdom Local coastguard units and a British Army EOD team responded to a report of suspected UXO located on Drigg beach.

Personnel from the Millom and Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Teams were the first to arrive on the scene. After locating the item, the teams secured the area and transmitted the munition's description and exact coordinates to military specialists. An Army EOD unit dispatched from Catterick later arrived on site and safely disposed of the hazard.
