Bomb Squad Responds to Ordnance Find

Salem, Ohio The Youngstown Bomb Squad responded to a garage in Salem to reports of possible UXO. Salem police and fire departments were also on the scene for what Police Chief J.T. Panezott said was likley a WWII-era Marine Corps 37 mm anti-tank round.

The munition was removed by the bomb squad for safe disposal off site.

Panezott said that if anyone finds any explosive device or suspected explosive device, they should not touch it or move it, but instead call the police immediately, and stay away from it.
