Practice MK 6 Signal Bomb consists of a can of black powder fitted ith an inert fuze and a blank .38-caliber cartridge used as a detonator. The signal is used with Practice bombs to provide a spotting charge. Upon release of the bomb, the arming wire is withdrawn, permitting the fuze-arming vane to rotate. Upon impact, the firing pin in the fuze functions the .38 caliber cartridge which ignites a black powd |
