General Practice Bomb MK 65 Mod 0 has a light-cased, cylindrical body and is constructed of welded sheet-steel sections. It has an ogival nose and a tapered aft end to which a box-fin assembly is bolted. A threaded filling hole is located in the nose of the bomb and is sealed by a nose plug and gasket. The bomb is filled with either water or wet sand. The bomb is used with the MK 6 signal and inert fuze. |

Functioning: |

When dropped, a signal (spotting) charge is activated which gives the piolit a visual indication of the point of impact by either releasing a puff of smoke. |
