| The capsule consists of size 00 gelatin filled with ground CS riot control agent & ortho-chlorobenzylidene malon-nitrile). The filled capsule weighs about 82 grams. Fifty CS capsules are packed in a resealable metal can. The CS is aerosolized by placing the capsule on an upend empty tin can that is placed over a burning candle. The CS particles sting and irritate the skin, eyes, nose and throat and have a powerful lachrymatory effect on exposed personnel. |
