General Area: , IL Site Type/Program: BRAC Location: Located 25 miles north of Chicago Brief History: The 695 acre installation is located on the shore of Lake Michigan and is a BRAC site. However, a portion of the site 100 is being retained by the Army and the Navy has purchased 200 acres in the southern portion. The Army has conducted a limited survey and clearance on a portion of the site. UXO were found and recovered. |
