Location: Located approximately 10 miles off Vieques Island.

Brief History: Historic U.S. military Sea Disposal Site for Chemical Warfare Materiel (CWM) munitions sea disposal area located approximately 10 miles from Vieques Island in the Caribbean at depths greater than 1,500 feet.

Range / Site Description: The following list is known to have been sea dumped at the site.

Mustard 4.2 inch Mortar Shell - Qty 68 for a total of <1 ton NCAW

Cyanogen Chloride (CK) ANM79 1,000 lb Bomb Each 8 for a total NCAW of 1 ton.
Cyanogen Chloride (CK) M70 115 lb Bomb Each 124 for a total NCAW of 3 tons.
Cyanogen Chloride (CK) M78 500 lb Bomb Each 29 for a total NCAW of 3 tons.
Cyanogen Chloride Total 7 NCAW tons

Tabun (GA) 4.2 inch Mortar Shell - Qty 1,842 for a total NCAW of 4 tons.
Tabun (GA) German 250 kg Bomb - Qty 110 for a total NCAW of 11 tons.
Tabun Total NCAW of 15 tons.

Other munitions related items dumped at the site include empty munitions (mortars and bombs), drums, and FS smoke filled mortars.

Associated Munitions: CWM munitions (H, CK, and GA)

Activities Completed: Archive search of records. DoD has only released minimal data on the site in the Annual Reports to Congress.
