Fallen EOD Technicians Honored in Ceremony

Eglin AFB, Florida More than 500 people attended a memorial ceremony at the Navy's Kauffman EOD Training Complex to honor those EOD technicians who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Since the Iraq invasion began in 2003, 40 EOD technicians have died in the line of duty. 15 technicians were lost in 2006 alone, which made it the deadliest year since 1945 when 26 bomb disposal technicians died.
