WWII UXO Found at Airport
Warsaw, Poland Construction workers digging near Chopin International Airport uncovered a five unexploded bombs dating back to WWII. The ordnance were discovered approximately a quarter mile away from the airport. Authorities responded and evacuated the nearby Marriott hotel while a bomb disposal team responded. The munitions identified as incendiary WWII era bombs were safely relocated for proper disposal. The airport was not impacted during the response.
