National EOD Day Proposed

Washington, D.C. Representative Crawford (R- Arkansas) introduced a Resolution in the House to designate the first Saturday in May as National EOD Day. The Resolution also calls for the designation of the infamous 'Initial Success or Total Failure' motto to be adopted as the official motto of the EOD organizations in the United States Armed Forces.

The resolution, which can be viewed using the download link below, sets to over-turn the decision that was made at the Navy EOD School House in Eglin a couple months back to remove the motto from the walls and other public areas. Congressman Crawford, a former EOD technician himself, obviously feels strongly that the motto should remain intact despite the opinion of Navy leadership who did away with the motto.
