Munition Found At Quarry Site

Eversley, United Kingdom Workers at a quarry found a munition at the worksite and called the police to report the find. Police responded and evacuated the area before calling in the bomb squad.

The bomb squad safely transported the munition, identified as a German 76mm Minenwerfer Artillery shell, off-site for proper disposal. Authorities suspect that the item was brought to the UK as a souvenir before being dumped in the quarry.
