Project Engineer / Project Geologist Position

Ordnance Holdings, Inc. (OHI), a Hub Zone certified small business, specializing in providing Military Munitions Response Programs (MMRP) and related engineering / professional services to Department of Defense (DoD) agencies is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Geologist for a career advancing position.

The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing Military Munitions Response Program / Unexploded Ordnance (MMRP/UXO) related contract / projects. Work location will be based on the individual's qualifications, experience, ability to work remotely, and willingness to travel to support site walks, project needs, and travel to client locations for marketing.

The position requires experience managing munitions response or environmental projects for federal government customers. Experience supporting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) contracts / projects preferred.

Candidates must be capable of managing several concurrent projects and have the ability to support proposal / marketing efforts including developing technical approaches, project schedules, and project cost estimates both at the IDIQ and task order level.

For active projects, the individual will be responsible for supporting administrative and technical requirements, to include writing/managing the development of work plans, safety plans, explosive safety submissions, and final reports.

Experience developing one or more of the following MMRP related reports is considered a plus: Historical Records Reviews, Preliminary Assessments, Remedial Investigation / Feasibility Studies, and/or Removal Action Reports.

The candidate will also oversee and ensure the safe and successful performance of field work, to include working with OHI HR resources for project staffing needs. Other responsibilities include tracking of field operations, providing technical oversight, management of project costs/schedule, communicating with field and technical staff and meeting customer needs and expectations.

Experience in managing munitions response projects that involve the application of Digital Geophysical Mapping (DGM) and Advanced Geophysical Classification (AGC) methods is considered a plus, along with experience in management of Chemical Warfare Materiel (CWM) projects.

Professional Registration (e.g., PE/PG, PMP) considered a plus but not required.

Strong technical writing, communication, and inter-personal skills are required.

Qualified candidates for the position will have at least a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering (e.g., civil, mechanical, chemical); environmental sciences; geology or a related degree. Must have a minimum of 3 years' project management or project engineering experience in munitions response or environmental projects.
