Kids Mistake Bomb for Scuba Tank on Florida Beach

Englewood, Florida The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office responded to a beach in Englewood after children discovered a barnacle-encrusted object they believed to be a scuba tank. Much to their surprise, the item turned out to be WWII-era UXO.

The children reportedly touched the ordnance and took photos of it before someone realized it could be dangerous. "I was shivering when I heard it was a bomb," said Maci Martinez, one of the children who found it.

UXO In Scrap Metal Explodes During Offloading

Kano, Nigeria The Kano Police Command confirmed that an explosion on the eastern bypass occurred and was caused by UXO rather than an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) following an investigation by their EOD team.

The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Hussaini Abdullahi, revealed that the UXOs were inadvertently transported with scrap metal and one exploded during offloading, resulting in five fatalities and several injuries. A total of nine UXO items were recovered post-incident.
